Bronwyn specialises in the application of economics to complex competition issues across a wide range of sectors, to provide tractable, robust analysis to clients.


Bronwyn’s project experience includes analysing the economic implications of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other contracts, and market behaviour across a range of sectors including media, post, ports, health, retail, agriculture, banking and finance, airports and energy.

Bronwyn also has experience in relation to economic regulation in a range of sectors - including electricity, gas, water and postal networks – as well as public policy and economic impact evaluations, through time spent as a public sector economist in the UK.

Bronwyn couples her deep experience in economics with an academic background in commercial law and psychology and has a keen interest in behavioural economics.

Prior to joining HoustonKemp, Bronwyn was an economist at the UK development bank, specializing in addressing market failures within finance markets. Prior to her time in the UK, Bronwyn was an Economic Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting, and before that, a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. Bronwyn holds a first class honours degree in economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law) / Bachelor of Arts (Psychology, Economics) from the University of Auckland.
